Sons of the American Revolution
Sophia and Joshua both entered an essay contest hosted by the Sons of the American Revolution. Their essays were written on the topic of "a great person, event, or ideal associated with the American Revolution, the signing of the Declaration of Independence, or the framing of the U.S. Constitution."
So far, they have only been judged on a local level. In local's, Sophia's essay placed first, and Joshua's second. We all had the privilege of attending a Sons of the American Revolution luncheon.
It was a huge blessing to meet so many gentlemen devoted to honoring their forefathers and passing on our heritage to the next generation!
